On 31st August 1997 Princess Diana died in an accident in Paris and Malaysia gained their independence from British rule on August 31, 1957.
The independence of Malaysia is different from that of the independence of other countries. It was a peaceful independence attained by holding talks with the British.

I do not know because malaysia national anthem "Negaraku" is nothing more than "created".
